SamLot is a two-part baseball event that consists of a skills-based Qualifier from which the top 20 players advance to a player-led SamLot Showcase.

SamLot Qualifier

Players come together to participate in various skills challenges where they are objectively assessed using a simple tally sheet kept by scorekeepers. The scores from the Qualifier determine lineup and positions for the SamLot Showcase.

SamLot Showcase

Showcases are very similar to a traditional kid-pitch baseball game, with a few SamLot tweaks. Showcases are player led and positions are picked according to performance and overall rank from the Qualifier. Coaches/adults are on the field to help run the dugouts to ensure efficiency, but the Showcase is player led with no base coaches. Our goal is to develop independence, camaraderie among players, and baseball iq.
